Guardians of the Galaxy trailer, Showtime Renews Two Shows, More Sex and the City?

Here’s our roundup of the latest news from the world of TV and film:

Guardians of the Galaxy Trailer Released

The first full trailer for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy has been released.  Starring Parks and Rec star Chris Pratt as the Star Lord, who is being hunted by the villainous Ronan and is forced to make an uneasy truce with other space rejects, including a racoon, a green-skinned lady and a tree.  Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think.

Could A Third Sex and the City Movie Be On The Way?

Sex and the City producer Michael Patrick King has teased that a third Sex and the City film may be made in the future.  He agreed with Sarah Jessica Parker’s recent comments by star Sarah Jessica Parker that one more story could be told.  Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, he said: “The great gift or riches or luck is that I worked on two shows that were so full that they spilled over into people’s lives and the characters were rounded enough that you could still wonder where they are.  Sarah Jessica and I both know what that final chapter is. That doesn’t mean it will or should be told, but I do think there’s one story left. Whether it ever happens is a whole other situation. But there’s four girls, and those girls are still in my mind. There are other stories to tell and characters that haven’t even been written yet.”  So, while he hasn’t confirmed that a third movie will be made (which might be a bit mad after the negative reaction following the second movie) he hasn’t entirely ruled it out.  Sex and the City ended on HBO in February 2004, with the first movie arriving at cinemas four years later. Sex and the City 2 was released in 2010.
